Well, on Sunday we got the tree up and partially decorated. I plugged in all of the lights before putting them on the tree and was positive they all worked. Well, not so—the top half of the first string didn’t light up—uuuggghhhh! I’ve never been a fan of the mini lights b/c I have no patience in figuring out which bulb is the trouble maker. Yet, there was another string on the tree that had one bulb out and that was an easy fix. Anyway, we decided not to take the top string off, rather I would go get a new string of lights and “string” over the existing not working lights (now since I’ve done that it makes no sense, so don’t ask what I was thinking prior to that). And since we had no lights up top we didn’t decorate the top either, but now the tree has the new lights and is completely decorated.
Last night, we decided to get the kids annual picture in front of the tree. Initially, Carter was going to have nothing to do with it, but he came around and we got some fun pictures and some good ones, too. Clark took pictures of all the kids with their name ornament from Bronner’s. He was trying to make it look as though they were hanging them on the tree. That didn’t work, but I still love them. And since I can’t spoil the picture you might be getting with your Christmas card or letter; I”ll post one of the silly pics we took. I bribed the kids with a silly picture, meaning if they posed for the pics we wanted then they could do a silly picture. The one I should have tried to capture and didn’t was the girls making silly faces and Carter turning around and shaking that cute little tush at me! Enjoy the pictures.
