Well, it was a hot, humid day here in northern Michigan. But … the kids and I didn’t seem to notice. We spent it at the beach! What a perfect day. What is it about the beach that just puts everybody in a good mood and seems to help everyone get along? We had fun swimming and playing, oh yeah, and trying to catch minnows. No luck on the minnows though. And while the kids built castles on the beach I managed to read a few chapters uninterrupted. That’s always an added bonus, too. So, we all came home sunkissed and happy! Another perk that all of us mommies are aware of is that all that fresh air is the best medicine for sleep.
